1. Introduction
Welcome to Clever Cabling Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of our services, including but not limited to the installation of low-voltage systems such as security cameras, alarm systems, access control systems, network cabling, audio systems, and smart home solutions (collectively, the “Services”). By engaging our services, you (“Customer”, “Client” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.
2. Scope of Services
We provide consultation, installation, maintenance, and repair services for low-voltage systems. Specific details, including scope, timeline, and pricing, will be outlined in a written agreement, proposal, or quote provided to the customer before service commencement.
3. Service Eligibility
By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract. You also warrant that you own the property or have obtained the necessary permissions to allow installation services.
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Customers agree to provide Clever Cabling Inc. with access to the installation site, including necessary permissions, utilities, and information required to perform the Services.
- Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for obtaining any required permits, licenses, or approvals from local authorities or property management.
- Client warrants that the installation site is safe, structurally sound, and free of hazards that could impede our work.
- Customers must ensure that their premises meet the necessary requirements for installation, such as adequate electrical outlets and internet connectivity.
- Customers are responsible for maintaining their installed systems and following manufacturer guidelines.
5. Quotes & Payments
- All estimates are based on the information provided and may be subject to adjustments upon site inspection.
- A deposit may be required before service commencement.
- Full payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- We accept payments via E-Transfer, Cheque or Cash.
6. Late payments
- Late payments may incur additional fees.
- Payments not received within 30 days of the invoice date may incur a late fee of 5% per month or the maximum allowed by law, whichever is lower. Interest charges will be compounded monthly on any outstanding balance.
- In the event of continued non-payment, the Company reserves the right to suspend services, withhold warranties, and refer the account to a collections agency or pursue legal action.
7. Installation & Service Appointments
- Customers must provide access to the installation site at the scheduled time.
- We are not responsible for delays caused by factors outside our control, including but not limited to weather, supply chain issues, or third-party contractors.
- Any rescheduling requests should be made at least 24 hours in advance.
8. Warranty & Liability
8.1 Scope of Warranty
Clever Cabling Inc. warrants that the CCTV equipment, including cameras and recorders will be free from defects for a period of 3 years for Uniview and Dahua brands and 2 years for Provision and Galaxy brands. Peripheral devices such as hard drives, switches, monitors and cables free from defects for a period of 1 year. Installation services provided to the Customer will be free from defects in workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of installation (the Warranty Period).
8.2 Warranty Coverage
During the Warranty Period, the Company agrees to repair or replace any defective CCTV equipment or resolve any issues arising from improper installation, at no additional cost to the Customer, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement.
8.3 Warranty Exclusions
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or unauthorized modifications.
- Issues arising from acts of nature (floods, lightning, earthquakes, etc.).
- Damage caused by improper maintenance, accidents, or power surges not related to the installation or equipment provided by the Service Provider.
- Any system failures or issues caused by third-party equipment not installed or provided by the Service Provider.
- Labor is non-refundable.
8.4 Procedure for Claiming Warranty
In the event of a defect or malfunction during the Warranty Period, the Customer must:
- Contact the Service Provider as soon as possible.
- Describe the nature of the defect or malfunction in detail.
8.5 Limitations of Liability
The Company’s liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective CCTV equipment or reinstallation services. The Company shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use of the CCTV system.
- Any loss or damage caused by the Customer’s failure to maintain the system or take reasonable precautions to protect it from foreseeable damage.
- Any loss of data due to Surveillance Camera Equipment failure, including, but not limited to: weather incidents, power outages/surges, acts of vandalism and improper use of equipment.
- Any damages or cost incurred as a result of data loss or quality of video.
- Any lost time, profits or business, personal injury, property damage or similar loss,
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or property damage beyond our control.
8.6 Termination of Warranty
This warranty will terminate automatically upon:
- Expiration of the Warranty Period.
- Any unauthorized alteration or repair to the system by the Customer or a third party not authorized by the Company
8.7 Service Calls
- Service Call during Warranty period
Cameras/NVRs/Hard Drives/Switches/Backup Power/Cables/Monitors and other peripheral components replaced at no additional charge within the Warranty Period. After Warranty expiration, each unit will be replaced at current market prices.
- Service Calls NOT under Warranty or AFTER Warranty period
Including, but not limited to: damage by acts of vandalism, weather issues, improper use or other physical damage. Includes Service Calls scheduled after Equipment Warranty period.
Fees:
$125.00 per hour, minimum two (2) hours, then charged at $31.25 for each 15-minute increment after 2nd hour.

9.1 Utilization of Personal Information
Our collection and use of personal information serve multiple essential purposes, including:
- Communication: We utilize personal data to address inquiries and support requests submitted via our website form, email, or phone.
- Transaction Completion: Personal information is employed for engaging in service delivery, invoicing, and payments via email, phone, or in-person interactions.
- Support: On occasion, with explicit consent, we may access your equipment remotely for service, support, or upgrades.
- Warranties: By leveraging purchase history and installation details, we ensure the comprehensive fulfillment of product and service warranties.
9.2 Privacy Management

9.3 Non-Disclosure to Third Parties
It is crucial to highlight that we do not share your data with third parties without your explicit consent. 10. Force Majeure
Clever Cabling Inc. is not liable for delays or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or government actions.
11. Termination of Services
- Either party may terminate the service agreement with written notice.
- We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service for reasons including non-payment, unsafe working conditions, or breach of these Terms.
- Upon termination, you remain responsible for payment for all Services rendered up to that point.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
13. Amendments & Updates
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
